In 1970, John Horton Conway (British mathematician) had researh on a hypothetical machine that could self-reproduce: the "Game Of Life". A cellular automat where each state mechanically leads to the next state. Using the same principle as a laboratory subject, the experiment here revolves around the pixel. Its life cycle shows: its birth, its development and its death in a closed space: the screen. Random, each period develops a unique mutation in constant digital tension.
